Founded in 1995, Berg Associates, Inc. (BAI) is a small, but multi-faceted, for-profit Connecticut Corporation in the United States. It is named after the great Austrian composer, Alban Berg (pronounced B-air-g not Burg), and the fact that a berg (in German) is a “mountain” solidified the choice of a corporate name because of the inspiration I have always received from spending time “in the mountains.”
BAI’s business units have developed over the years to support my increasingly varied professional activities. These include composing music, writing words (poetry +), performing as a conductor or pianist, teaching privately, giving lectures, making speeches, consulting, publishing, recording, etc.
Tallow Tree Music Publishing (TTMP) is BAI’s ASCAP-affiliated publishing company. Its exclusive worldwide distributor is the Theodore Presser Company.
Other long-standing business units include BAI Innovations (composing and writing), BAI Consulting (consulting), Performing Arts Media (recordings and other multi-media projects), and Aternus (performing).
BAI Consulting focuses on projects involving strategic planning, financial planning, executive mentoring, and board development.
BAI also promotes philanthropic activities, including on-going support for the Vincent Persichetti Society and the Lotte Lehmann Foundation
