WORKS/PROJECTS-IN-PROGRESS:
New composition: A work for solo piano – I am writing this work for Argentine pianist Mirian Conti. Mirian is going to record the work in early 2025 as part of an album that pays tribute to our late mutual friend, composer Michael White. The recording will include music by friends and colleagues who also knew and loved Michael. The publication of my work will coincide with the release of Mirian’s album.
New recording: The Galan Trio, based in Athens, Greece, is releasing a new album that includes my Piano Trio No. 3 (2022). This work was written for the 70th Anniversary of the Camerata Musicale Sulmonese in Sulmona, Italy, and was premiered in Sulmona by the Galan Trio in January 2023. There was also a second performance in nearby Campobasso (Molise). I have heard the subsequent studio recording, and am delighted with the results! Update: The album was released on February 16 2024 by Neuma Records. This work is also being prepared for publication.
New composition: A quartet for saxophone, violin, cello, and piano – This is a project consisting of public performances, a publication, and a recording of several LAS works. Stay tuned for details . . .
New compositions: Art song (solo voice and piano) – “100 Songs/100 Singers” – This is an on-going multi-faceted, multi-year project that will not only generate 100 new LAS art songs, but it will also be tied to a 10-volume publishing project. Eventually, I hope that it will culminate in a series of recording projects.
Throughout my career, I have been inspired by and worked with remarkable singers. I feel extremely fortunate to have collaborated with so many great artists. Each song pays tribute to a specific singer. The volumes are being assembled by voice type, and will be published in groups of ten songs. As the volumes are completed, I will list the contents here.

New composition: Winery/Vineyard-inspired theatre work for saxophone, dancer/actor, and electronics (acousmatic music) written to be performed in an outdoor space/garden. Related projects: Video recording and publication.
New composition: A three-act ballet/contemporary dance based on a Gustave Flaubert short story. Related projects: Video recording and publication (rental materials).
New compositions: A symphony for winds, brass, and percussion, as well as a symphony for orchestra. These works will be my 5th and 6th symphonies. Related projects: Audio/video recordings and publications (rental materials).
New composition: A one-act comic chamber opera using limited vocal and instrumental forces. Related projects: Audio/video recordings and publications.
New composition: Large-scale opera (full evening) for solo singers and orchestra. Related projects: Audio/video recordings and publications (rental materials).
