The Star-Spangled Banner x 2!

Long ago, my good friend, violinist Robert McDuffie, asked me to make a virtuoso arrangement of The Star-Spangled Banner for solo violin. The rest, as they say, is history! Bobby has performed the arrangement around the globe . . . in many of the world’s great concert halls and major sports venues.

The recording that follows appeared on the MUSIC & THE ARTS CD (Volume 1, Number 3) in 1996.

This work is published by the Theodore Presser Company. Click here to purchase the music.

When the McDuffie Center for Strings was established at Mercer University in Georgia, Bobby asked me to make an arrangement for his students. Performances of the arrangement have become a Mercer tradition over the years. You will enjoy this performance and the reactions of the fans!
